JDC (Jeju Free International Development Center) was established in 2002 as a national public corporation under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Its purpose was to make Jeju, which is located in the center of Northeast Asia and has a beautiful natural environment, as a free international city, ensuring the free movement of people, commodities, and capital as well as convenience in business activities. It pushes ahead with core projects in various fields including advanced science, education, tourism, and medical service.
